IKZ Berlin bought a custom-tailored HKZ furnace

The working group "Oxides and Fluorides" of the Leibniz Institute for Crystal Growth (IKZ Berlin) recently ordered a specifically designed ScIDre HKZ high-temperature floating zone furnace for crystal growth of refractory materials with modular double-sided afterheater system.

The Solid State Chemistry Group of Prof. K. Conder from Paul Scherrer Institute PSI in Villingen, Switzerland, ordered a HKZ floating zone furnace which will be able to perform growth experiments with up to 150 bar atmosphere pressure.
